What are Cycling Friendly certifications?
The idea of a sustainable city inevitably involves the widespread use of bicycles as a means of urban mobility.
There are entities that work at national and international level to promote the use of bicycles as a tool to transform society, such as AMBE (Association of Brands and Bicycles of Spain), EFC (European Cycling Federation), the Cities for Bicycling Network or IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association).
With the intention of achieving more sustainable cities, Hotel La Garapa is committed to the active use of bicycles, improving its facilities with the incorporation of new spaces exclusively for use by our guests who, in increasing numbers, arrive at the hotel and move around by bicycle.

La Garapa is a reference hotel in the offer of the two most emblematic organizations that promote the idea of bicycle tourism and the use of bicycles: Bikefriendly and Cycling Friendly.
In both cases, the associates of these platforms as cycling lovers have access to numerous services related to the use of bicycles, including events, trips, hotel recommendations and other establishments, as well as complete tourist guides, routes and points of interest.
It is a pleasure for our team to make ours one of these places of reference, our work in this sense fully coincides with our commitment to ecology and sustainability.
New services as a Cycling Friendly hotel
In La Garapa we have built a whole area dedicated to cycling tourism that includes, in addition to the general services of the hotel (swimming pool, Wifi, Bar cafeteria, free parking for vehicles, tourist information, etc.) the following novelties:
- Bicycle parking with individual bike racks in a secure area (or the possibility to bring the bike up to the room)
- Tool shop with inflation pumps, washing area and loading area for electric bicycles, among others).
- Breakfast for early risers (on request)
- Delayed departure, i.e. you will be able to shower and change clothes after returning from your route on the day of departure.
REPARACIONES, CUSTODIA Y MANTENIMIENTO
Workshop
We provide you with a workshop for repairs with all the necessary tools and an electric bicycle charger.
You can use the parking with individual bike storage, ask us for the earliest breakfast or ask us to delay the day of departure from the hotel until you return from your route, and you have showered and changed clothes.
Bicycle routes near La Garapa
We put at your disposal some of the best rated bike routes near our hotel. You can download any of them for your GPS and collaborate by sending us your route so that all our customers can enjoy it. Health and bike!.
