The Cathedral of Granada was founded on May 21, 1492 by the will of the Catholic Monarchs.
The main facade is a masterful baroque work designed by Alonso Cano. The tower by Diego de Siloé is 57 meters high instead of the planned 81. The Puerta del Perdón, Siloé’s master sculptural masterpiece, stands out.
